Speediance sells an official accessory rack, made for the Gym Monster, Gym Monster 2, Gym Monster 2s, Gym Monster 3 and Gym Monster 3s. The other six options here are alternatives to it, or an addition alongside it: wall hooks, a pegboard, 3D printed holders on the frame, a rolling cart, a shelf beside the machine, or the bench itself. Compared below.
The problem is never the machine. It is that a rope, two handles, a short bar, ankle straps and a belt are all small, all similar, and all end up in the same box on the floor. An attachment you cannot see in two seconds is an attachment you stop using.
Wall hooks
The simplest answer and usually the cheapest. A short row of hooks at shoulder height puts every cable attachment in view, and picking one becomes part of the set rather than a search. Because each hook carries one item, nothing stacks and nothing tangles.
The catch is the wall. Hooks need anchoring into something solid, which means drilling, which means this is a poor choice in a rented flat or a plasterboard wall with nothing behind it. Space them wider than feels necessary, because ropes and straps hang wider than they look, and keep the row far enough from the machine that the arms never swing into it.
Pegboard
A pegboard is wall hooks that you can rearrange. You mount one board, then move hooks around as the collection changes, which matters more than it sounds when your third and fourth attachments arrive months apart. A board also groups everything into one visual block instead of a scattered row.
It costs more than plain hooks and still needs drilling, so the trade is flexibility for a bigger commitment to one wall. Check what each hook style is rated to hold before loading it with a belt or a bar, since the light display hooks sold with some boards are meant for tools, not for gym gear.
3D printed holders
Printed parts mount storage on the machine rather than on the wall, which is the whole appeal if you cannot drill. The Gym Monster Barbell and Accessory Holder stores the barbell on the frame and adds hooks for extra accessories, and the Speediance Bench Clip keeps the bench where it belongs.
Cost is a few dollars of filament if you own a printer, or roughly $15 to $40 through a printing service. The one thing to check is fitment: printed parts are the category most likely to be model specific, so confirm Gym Monster 1, 2 and 2s support in each listing before starting a print.
Rolling cart or trolley
A cart holds everything and needs no wall at all, which makes it the default answer for a shared room or a rented space. It also moves, so the attachments follow you to wherever the machine is set up that day, and it doubles as a place to put a phone, a bottle and a towel.
In exchange it takes floor space, which is exactly what a Gym Monster owner is usually short of. Attachments also stack inside a cart rather than hang from it, so ropes and straps tangle unless you add dividers. Look for locking castors, because an unlocked cart drifts when you lean on it.
Shelf next to the machine
A single shelf at the right height is the middle ground: cheaper than a cart, less permanent than a pegboard, and it holds the odd shaped items that refuse to hang, such as a belt or a folded strap. One shelf is usually enough, and it can sit on a wall bracket or on top of existing furniture.
Shelves invite piling, which is how you end up back where you started. Keep one item per section, and keep the shelf out of the path of the arms and the cable. If it is wall mounted it needs drilling and a bracket rated for the load, so check that before you put a bar on it.
The bench as storage
The bench is already in the room and already next to the machine, so hanging a rope over the upright or resting handles on the pad costs nothing at all. For an owner with two or three attachments this is genuinely sufficient, and it is where most people start.
It stops working the moment you need to move the bench, which is every time you switch from pressing to standing work. Nothing is fixed, so attachments slide off, and anything on the pad is in the way of the next set. Treat it as the free starting point, not the long term answer, and add a clip so the bench itself stays put.
Comparing the six options
| Option | Cost level | Wall drilling | Fits which attachments |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wall hooks | Low | Yes | Ropes, handles, short bars, ankle straps, belts |
| Pegboard | Medium | Yes | Everything that hangs, subject to the hook rating |
| 3D printed holders | Low | No | Barbell plus the attachments the listing shows hooks for |
| Rolling cart or trolley | Medium to high | No | Everything, though ropes and straps need dividers |
| Shelf next to the machine | Low to medium | Only if wall mounted | Belts, folded straps, anything that will not hang |
| The bench as storage | Free | No | Two or three items at most |
Speediance storage FAQ
Is there an official Speediance accessory rack? Yes. Speediance sells an official accessory rack, made for the Gym Monster, Gym Monster 2, Gym Monster 2s, Gym Monster 3 and Gym Monster 3s. Alongside it, the six options on this page also work: wall hooks, a pegboard, a 3D printed holder that mounts on the frame, a rolling cart, a shelf beside the machine, or the bench itself.
How do I store Gym Monster attachments without drilling? Three of the six options need no wall at all. A 3D printed barbell and accessory holder mounts on the frame, a rolling cart stands on the floor and moves with you, and the bench itself will carry two or three items. That covers most rented rooms.
Do storage solutions differ between Gym Monster 1, 2 and 2s? Wall hooks, pegboards, carts and shelves are independent of the machine, so they work the same on all three. Only 3D printed parts can be model specific, because they mount on the frame, so confirm fitment in each listing before you print.
The bottom line
Start free with the bench, and move to hooks or a printed holder the moment you own a third attachment. If you cannot drill, a printed holder on the frame or a cart on the floor solves it without touching the wall. The goal is simple: every attachment visible, and none of them in the path of the arms.
